A mourner holds a rose at the funeral of Craig Hill in Farmington on Tuesday. Craig was born April 17, 1948 and recieved the Purple Heart and Cross of Gallantry while serving in the Marine corps in Vietnam. He passed away August 1st.
Honestly, photos can capture every moment in time. I did however know this one sick fuck who took a million photos at an open casket wake. It'd be different if it was like Abe Lincoln or something but it was her friend which obviously meant a lot to her but damn dude. This photo came out pretty decent. I think the little story you added really helped define the emotions.

I wasn't shooting it for the paper, and frankly I don't give a damn what you think about me shooting at a funeral. But the family didn't mind.

Photos at funerals is not cool. It's down right tacky, but if you were working for a newspaper I guess it's okay if the family approved it.
